Do I need prior HVAC experience to enroll?
No experience is required. Our program is specifically designed to take career changers and recent graduates from zero to job-ready in just 6 weeks. You only need to be 18+, have a HS diploma/GED, and pass our basic mechanical aptitude test.
How long is the certification program?
The program consists of 4 weeks of intensive, hands-on classroom training followed by 2 weeks of PAID ride-alongs with our hiring partner companies in Phoenix. Total time to start your career is approximately 6 weeks.
What is the total tuition and are there discounts?
Tuition is $9,700 total. Compared to traditional 4-year degrees that cost $40K-$80K, BTI gets you into a $60K+ career field for under $10K.
Do you provide payment plans?

What certification will I receive?
Graduates earn their EPA 608 Certification, which is required by law for anyone who maintains, services, or disposes of equipment that could release refrigerants into the atmosphere. This cert is essential for all HVAC technicians.
What are the available class schedules?
We offer two options: Full-time (M-F 7AM-5PM for 6 weeks) or Part-time evenings (M-F 6PM-10PM for 10 weeks). Both schedules include the mandatory hands-on shop time and field ride-alongs.
